MHW is pleased to be a collaborator on the Time Layered Cultural Map project funded by the Australian Research Council (LIEF PROJECT ID: LE190100019), with partners from Curtin University, Edith Cowan University, the University of Newcastle (lead), the University of South Australia, and University of Technology Sydney.

The ambition of the TLCMap project is to provide access to platforms for humanities researchers to use, create and integrate datasets and to create interactive visualisations, specifically for Humanities’ epistemological and methodological needs.

Working within the ever evolving ecosystem of mapping software we are integrating with existing software and developing new tools and techniques to make common tasks easier and new things possible.

The MHW team will be particularly working to extend the capabilities of eMelbourne — adding map visualisations to existing content as well as furthering our work on the Melbourne Directories project.
