Two former PhD students Dr Pete Minard (‘A history of zoological acclimatisation in Victoria, 1858-1900’, 2015) and Dr Tom Rogers (‘The civilisation of Port Phillip’, 2014) have teamed up with three other graduates to form Present Past Pty Ltd: Consulting Historians. Pete’s areas of expertise include environmental history, Australian history, and the history of science and mental health history, while Tom’s interests include the early colonial history of Australia, frontier conflict, Indigenous history, and modern political and social history.
