After much anticipation, we are delighted to launch the inaugural episode of our My Marvellous Melbourne podcast as the latest project of the Melbourne History Workshop. The podcast is available via iTunes or through the website. It was officially launched last night in the Faculty of Arts Digital Lab at the University of Melbourne by writer and historian Robyn Annear, and is a testament to the hard work and enthusiasm of our students and affiliates. Segments combine stories, interviews, personal reflections and memories that inspire us about the history and culture of the city and suburbs. My Marvellous Melbourne draws on and adds to the resources of the Encyclopedia of Melbourne, which you can access freely online. If you like what you hear or have more to add on any of our podcast stories, we’d love you to contribute by writing on the episode blog. Drop us a line if you have ideas for segments or a burning query about any aspect of Melbourne’s history — we may be able to follow it up in our Can We Help? segment.
